What metrics is your institution using for social distancing? Curious about both distance between bodies as well as metrics for determining capacity caps in shops.

Speaking for UrbanGlass and our survey class with Pratt Institute:
NYC requires higher education operates at 25% capacity. The actual implementation of that is self-determined for us - does that refer to fire code? Number of people we are averaging in the building? Numbest of students in a class? We've gone for 25% of the total signed COVID waivers we have collected at any given time (number of people who have returned to our space as renters/students/etc).
For the Pratt class, we have split the 10 student class into two groups of 5 that are learning in different studios, then switch after 4 weeks, then the same in two additional studios.
We are using 6ft as our social distancing model. For teacher demonstrations, we have floor markings to help students determine where to stand (they are not good at guessing 6ft and tend to stand closer without guidelines). When students do need to get closer to see something, they can momentarily, but with the understanding they cannot gather closer that six feet for more than 10 minutes. We have also set up a livestream from a usb webcam to a large television screen for the flame working studio to see fine hand movements/details from a distance.
Everyone must wear masks at all times. We have a designated space for students to change their masks from cloth to KN95 when necessary (for mold making, etc).
We are constantly updating, but this is what we've been focused on so far with social distancing.
