What modifications are you instating to equipment in the COVID-19 era?

I'm going to share an IG video post from you, Helen! (Sound on for commentary.)

The continuous melt furnace in the UW Glass Lab has been modified with this five foot long-ish door handle. (That's Tim O'Neill, the incredible 3D studio tech at University of Wisconsin-Madison, operating the door.) I'm excited to see how this works out in practice; definitely will make door handling cooler.

UW's also incorporated a pulley system for the annealer doors, pipe hangers for handoffs, and a third rail for punty assist. Details on the third rail (again, quoted from Helen's IG): "assistant can bring a punty with a standard length punty using the rail as their forward/left hand while staying 6’ away. We will also have 10’ punties, too, but the rail might be more practical long term."
