More about Wu
Wu Hanyen has been a movement practitioner studying the Ido Portal Method since 2016. Wu worked as a furniture maker for 5 years in New York City prior to receiving her MFA in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School of Design. An injury in the woodshop, hours of reflection, and a passion for movement is what crafted the vision and creation of her company, Work in Use, which specializes in high end sculptural movement tools.
Wu is passionate about creating a community of movers who are inspired by good design. As a craftsperson, she believes we should take care of our body the way we maintain and sharpen our tools. She is interested in reframing the way we understand and improve our studio practice by reconnecting with our movement potential.
